Earlier this year I took part in the SCBWI annual Illustrators’ show, a juried event held at Gallerie Malle in Ebisu, Tokyo. I showed several prints from a book of children’s poems I illustrated during the summer.

These images were a fun break for me during the summer. Due to the deadline and the nature of the images I decided to eliminate the inking stage and go with pencils.

This was the first time to do that for me and I liked the results. It’s a style I’ve been exploring in some other images and projects and which I’me looking forward to showing you soon!
